Thane’s Kopri Railway Over Bridge was inaugurated today by Shri Eknath Shinde & Shri Rajan Vichare. The Newly constructed Thane Kopri Rail Over bridge is on the Eastern Express Highway. It is now open to public for travelling. Initially there were some concerns raised related to few cracks which were later cleared with fitness report from IIT-B. Newly constructed Thane Kopri Railway Bridge is going to help decongest the traffic on Mumbai Pune or Mumbai Nashik Highway which passes through the Thane City.
This New Kopri Railway Bridge brings happiness on the faces of residents of Thane and for people travelling towards Mumbai. This will save time and fuel for the travellers who regularly travel towards the Mumbai City.
Thane is central place connecting the other cities like Kalyan, Nashik, Ahmedabad, Pune, Ulhasnagar, Ambernath, Badlapur.
Railway Over Bridge (ROB) Widening work has been pending for many years as there were many agencies involved to take decisions & actions. With MMRDA’s involvement speed of bridge work completion has increased. Today only 2 lanes are opened to public. Shri Eknath Shinde conveyed that Railway Over Bridge work is going on the scale of warfront. Soon the bridge work will be completed and there will be 4 lanes on each side of the bridge road. Lakhs of travellers will be benefited with this historic bridge that is built over the railway line.
