Thane General Elections 2026 Results
The 2026 Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) elections were held on January 15, 2026, alongside civic polls across Maharashtra, including Mumbai, Kalyan-Dombivli, Ulhasnagar, and more. Voter turnout in Thane stood at about 54–56 %, with approximately 9.17 lakh voters casting ballots out of over 16.4 lakh registered electors.
Mahayuti alliance (BJP + Shiv Sena-Shinde) emerged as the dominant force in the Thane civic polls. Early counting and trends showed the alliance leading across many wards. Thane results indicated significant gains for the Shiv Sena under the Shinde leadership, even in areas historically considered strongholds of rival leaders.
